Fads come and go so often. Fads are influence every part of our lives, especially fads related to fashion. Oscar Wilde was quoted as saying, “Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.” Here is a picture of a fad that got me when I was younger. Yes, Hammer pants were cool and comfortable. Looking back I wish I had not succumb to this fad and just stuck with the classic blue jean. The classic blue jean never goes out of style.
There are some things in life that transcend the level of being a fad. I believe being fanatical about encouraging people is always in style! You can never go wrong with being an excellent encourager. I have never heard anyone say, “Encouraging people was so 1993“, or “She encourages people way too much. She needs to stop.” We all long for more encouragement. We all long for people to believe in us and inspire us the live the greatness created inside of us. I want to encourage you to remember that in your inner being lies greatness still longing to be discovered. Discovering your greatness will be intimately connected to your ability to encourage others. Be a phenomenal encourager. Unlike Hammer pants, encouraging others will always be cool.
